Mrs. Hitchcock's classes had a wide variety of guest speakers last week! They spoke to the students about a variety of topics, from animal science and hoof trimming to careers in the dairy industry, ag science, welding, and more, which provided students with valuable insights into different career paths and opportunities within the agricultural and related fields.
Mr. Eric Nelson, owner of Nelson's Hoof Care and Hoof Trimmer, discussed hoof trimming and careers in the dairy industry.
Ms. Kendalle Booth, Agronomy Consultant with Timac Agro, shared insights into agronomy in Ag Science.
Ms. Carrie Busekist, the Environmental Educator for the NYS Parks System, Allegany Region, spoke to the students about her current position and the path that led to it.
Mr. Allie Burdick, Service Tech/Mechanic at Southern Tier Trailer Sales Inc., lent his expertise to the welding class and discussed a career in Ag Science.
Mr. Jason Fischer, owner of JDF Construction, shared his experiences in the field of Ag Science.
Chef Burke Lindquist, from The Chop House and Erie 2 BOCES, spoke to Mrs. Hitchcock's Ag Science class and Mrs. Congdon's Cooking 101 class about his career in cooking. Additionally, he offered tips to students for their upcoming projects.

Exciting week of learning at the Gail N. Chapman Elementary School! Our third and fourth grade classes had a special visit from the @AudubonCommunityNatureCenter in Jamestown.
They delved into the fascinating world of black bears, gaining insights about their behavior, habitat, and more. A highlight of the day was getting an up-close encounter with a real bear skull and fur!
A big thank you to the Nature Center staff for making learning so hands-on and memorable.

This January, our wonderful students at Randolph Elementary are on a mission of kindness! We kicked off this month with an amazing assembly, setting a challenge to accomplish 3,000 acts of kindness together.
A huge shoutout to the RCS Varsity Cheerleaders for igniting the energy and excitement, welcoming our students back with open arms, and spreading the joy of kindness!
A special thanks to our teacher, Mrs. Amy Bedell, the talented author behind "She Will." Her inspiring book reminds us all about the power of showing kindness, acceptance, and love.
Let's make January a month filled with warmth, compassion, and countless acts of kindness!
