State Tests:  What grades and how often?

State tests are given each year, grades three-eight.  

Here in the Elementary School, State tests are given in the areas of ELA and Math.  A science exam is also given in the Fourth grade.

The New York State ELA exams will be given during the month of March.  Math exams are given later during the month of May. 

The fourth grade Science Exam will  be given late May or early June.  Your child's teacher will be sending information home regarding this, and other state exams.

We are also using the State Ed. approved Iready computer based program to assess students abilities in both the areas of Math and ELA in grades K-6.  Quarterly reports will be sent home along with your child's report card.
