Our first graders had a blast last week at Penn Dixie Fossil Park hunting for fossils! From uncovering ancient treasures to learning about prehistoric creatures, it was an unforgettable adventure.

There will be no school on Friday, May 24, and Monday, May 27.

Pre-K students recently went on an Adventure to Allegany State Park. The students learned about frogs and toads while also getting the chance to play a fun frog game. They also learned about butterflies and spent some time chasing butterflies in the field, where several were caught! A nature hike through the woods was the perfect addition to the trip, where students got to learn about and find different trees and salamanders. Students also had a great time playing on the playground and enjoying the beautiful weather.

🔴⚪Attention Cardinal Fans! The Lady Cardinals ' Softball Team will be traveling to take on the Lady Gowanda Panthers in a NYS Section VI Quarter Final game, May 18th at 12:00. Go CARDINALS!🔴⚪

2nd Grade students recently went on Adventure to Allegany State Park. The students learned the difference between frogs and toads along with how they protect themselves. They also learned about bugs and butterflies followed by time spent in the field where many butterflies were caught and observed. A trip to Allegany wouldn't be complete without some time to play on the awesome wooden playground! It was a beautiful day spent learning about and exploring nature!

2nd graders recently walked down to the Randolph Post Office as part of the Adventure program! Thank you so much to the staff at the Post Office who gave our students a behind the scenes tour! They loved being able to see how the mail is sorted and makes it all the way from the post office to their homes.

Recently, Parker Bray, a local entrepreneur spoke to JCC Entrepreneurship class. Parker is a Holland High School and St. Bonaventure Marketing graduate. While at St. Bonaventure, Parker was asked to be a part of the business accelerator program. This program helped him to create a business using things that he loved, which in his case were his hands. During Covid, Parker found his love for woodworking and started a small business making signage for friends and family. After creating a partnership with his high school tech teacher. Parker and his Tech teacher created Maker-Movement. His high school teacher creates the curriculum for the projects, and then they sell the "kits" to the 4th - 6th grade market. The current kits available include a toolbox, a blue tooth speaker, and a piggy bank that helps the customer learn about financial literacy. The customer starts with the toolbox and then continues to build their tool supply with the other projects. Parker answered questions from the class as well as discussed, the projects they are currently working on and was able to give some advice to each class member. Parker's advice was, "You should always be leveraging people around you no matter what. Create connections, networking is the key to success."
